How does it work?

Smigliners implies  unique technology for the developing of aligners that I based on the 3d printing methods. Over the years our technology proved to be an effective tool for doctors and patients in the field of orthodontics. The approach that we have adopted drastically diverges from alternatives. Over the years we have collected reach experience and knowledge on the developing of aligners working in close cooperation with leading experts and producers. High-tech technologies and needs of clients are now combined into the concept that we are glad to propose.

Smigliners production complies with engineering tools. All processes are under attentive supervision of our experts and professionals – these are the key aspects to the high-quality product and impeccable reputation in the sphere of orthodontics.

High-quality guaranteed product for doctors and desirable smile for patients.

Treatment preparation

Once the decision to begin treatment with the use of transparent caps is taken, it is necessary to conduct analysis by sending “diagnostic package” to the Smiligners laboratory:

  • Photography of patient

  • Orthopantomogram

  • Mould of the tooth

There are two different methods to produce the mould:

- standard method with the use of A-silicone or any other mould material

-using of inter-oral scanner that transforms image of the tooth into STL-file

Virtual 3d planning

Once the Smiligners laboratory received diagnostic data of the patient, the individual product to be produced by means of the “exceed-ortho” method – virtual 3d modelling of the tooth.

We have adopted an individual approach to the customer, so our 3d planning team of experts pays attention to any case.

Attending doctor must clarify the goals of treatment, transfer and upload all necessary materials that are to be used by Smiligners team.

The modelling is being conducted accordingly to the protocol instructions designed by internationally celebrated experts, our experts are well-experienced with long record of  successful transparent caps treatment cases.

Aligners method has numerous advantages before braces. Before the treatment is began, the patient with help of “exceed-ortho” has a chance to see all the stages of the therapy and even observe how the smile will look like at the end of the treatment.

Prototyping – 3d printing.

We produce aligners by means of the 3d printing. As mentioned before, the treatment plan will help to understand how many caps are needed for the bite correction, and how many caps are to be printed out respectively.

Printing-model is a voluminous high-precision tooth model printed out by the 3D printer for any single move of teeth.

The printing models are being produced on the modern German facilities to within 100 micron. The form of aligners highly depends on quality of the printing models. Aligners must densely follow the tooth, so it is not felt in the mouth.

Polishing of aligners

The comfort of using aligners specifically depends on the quality of aligner polishing, thus we pay particular attention to the polishing of aligners.

Every aligner is being processed manually. Polishing usually consists of two stages (double polishing), in doing so we take into account tooth structure of every patient as individual case.

Aligner to be the product of high quality means aligner to be smooth and flexible following densely the form of tooth.

Aligners are equipped with technical cutout for “trigger” and “button” that are used in complex cases.  Smiligners facilities are able to process the aligner accordingly to the advices and recommendations of doctor.

Individual approach of the aligner manufacturing helps our experts in setting up the medical plan even for complex cases.

Over the years we have gained unique experience in the field of orthodontics that is invisible but priceless. We have brought dozens of innovations to the industry and continue developing the market.
